After a long hiatus, legendary Muay Thai fighter Yodwicha S. Sanunfarm made a return to Lumpinee Stadium — not as a fighter, but as a coach. Inspired by his student’s victory, he now sees a 70% chance of stepping back into the ring himself.
“I was burnt out back then. I wanted to rest my body for six months. I started coaching in the meantime — hoping that if the fire returned, I might fight again. It’s like working in the same office every day — eventually you get bored. But now, I’d say there’s a 70% chance I’ll return.”

This time, he appeared in Lumpinee Stadium (Ram Intra, Bangkok) on July 4, 2025, not to fight, but to corner his 19-year-old American-Israeli student, Ahwat Gordon, who headlined the ONE Lumpinee 115 event.
Ahwat delivered an impressive performance, defeating veteran Seksan Fairtex via unanimous decision in the 135-pound flyweight division, under traditional Muay Thai rules.

It’s official! Bangtao is so excited to announce the acquisition of Yodwicha Por.Boonsit. He’s a WBC world champion and a Lumpinee Stadium champion—just to name a few and will be joining our team as a Muay Thai instructor.
At 29 years of age, he’s already earned himself two decades in the sport.
Yodwicha burst onto the stadium scene when he was just 13 years old. Just a pre-teen making a name for himself against the country’s best. His rise to fame was far from ordinary. Big for his age, he was regularly fighting against much older opponents.
In 2013, he defeated the legendary Saenchai at the tender age of 17, and the year before that—at just 16 years of age—he was awarded Thailand’s most prestigious accolade: The Sports Writers’ Fighter of the Year Award. He also has notable victories against Singdam Kiatmuu9, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, and Petchboonchu FA Group.
Not only has he competed successfully at all of Thailand’s major stadiums, but he has also gained experience as an IFMA Gold Medalist and fought abroad in places such as Russia and France. On top of that, he has considerable experience as a kickboxer, primarily competing in mainland China. His hard-earned command of traditional stadium Muay Thai, modern three-round Muay Thai, and kickboxing contribute to a well-rounded coaching skill set.
